Municipal Leader Community and Workplace Culture Certificate
The Municipal Leader Community and Workplace Culture Certificate badge recognizes municipal leaders committed to fostering inclusive, ethical, and emotionally intelligent leadership in their organizations and communities. This badge is awarded upon completion of a comprehensive leadership development program designed specifically for local government professionals.
Badge earners have completed 56 hours of in-person training across seven leadership modules focused on emotional intelligence, ethical decision-making, financial stewardship, stakeholder engagement, workplace culture, public safety, and sustainable community development. Participants have also completed the EQ-i 2.0 Leadership Assessment, gaining insight into their emotional intelligence profile and applying this awareness to strengthen leadership effectiveness.
Through a capstone project, badge recipients applied course concepts to address a real-world municipal challenge, creating actionable solutions that reflect the program’s core values of collaboration, innovation, and equity. These leaders have the tools, mindset, and strategies to lead with integrity, build trust, and cultivate thriving workplaces and communities.
